Two Englishmen

Due inglesi stanno giocando a golf.

Two Englishmen are playing golf.

Mentre passa un corteo funebre, uno degli inglesi si toglie il cappello e rimane immobile per qualche secondo.

As a funeral procession passes by, one of the Englishmen takes off his hat and remains motionless for a few seconds.

"E' stato un bel gesto", dice l'altro.

"That was a nice gesture from you", says the other one.

"Cosa intendi con bel gesto", risponde pensieroso, "fra pochi giorni saremmo stati sposati per 25 anni!"

"What do you mean with nice gesture", he answers thoughtfully, "in a few days we would have been married for 25 years!"
